The Media panel is the project-specific asset panel inside the editor.

What You Can Access

The current Media panel is used for:

project media already attached to the current edit
generated visuals and rendered assets created during the workflow
quick insertion of assets into the timeline

The Media panel keeps project assets close to the edit itself.

That makes it useful when you want to work with files that belong to this project without searching the broader library.

Typical Workflow

In a normal edit, you open the Media panel, choose the asset you need, and place it on the timeline where it belongs.
