Cenematic runs as a native desktop app. The specs below cover what your machine needs for smooth video editing, AI generation, and export rendering.

Disk Space

Cenematic stores imported media, AI-generated assets, cached files, and exports locally. The 10 GB minimum covers the app and a few small projects. If you plan to work with longer videos or high-resolution exports, reserve more space.

Internet Connection

A stable connection is required for:

• Signing in and managing your account
• AI script, voice, and scene generation
• Downloading stock media
• Syncing project data

Editing and exporting work offline once all assets are available locally.

Permissions

Make sure the app has permission to:

• Read imported image, video, and audio files
• Write exported videos and temporary render files to disk

If security software blocks any of these operations, add Cenematic to the allow list.

Installing on a managed device

If you are on a work or school computer, confirm with your admin:

• Desktop app installs are allowed.
• Local file storage is available for media and exports.
• Security software will not block AI generation requests or downloaded app updates.
