Transitions

The Transitions workflow controls how one clip moves into the next.

What Transitions Are Used For

Transitions are applied when you want to:

  • smooth a cut between clips
  • create a more stylized handoff
  • control pacing between scenes or visual beats

How They Fit Into Timeline Editing

Transitions sit between clips, so they are part of sequence building rather than clip styling.

That makes them especially important when the project depends on rhythm, continuity, or a more polished scene change.

Typical Workflow

You choose the point between two clips, apply a transition preset, and then review its timing and feel in the preview before export.
