Generate Music from Lyrics

Once your lyrics are ready, the second step in the workspace is Generate Music.

What The Music Step Includes

The music generation form includes:

A Music Style Prompt
Validation for the prompt
A final Generate Music action

Tunedance generate music step placeholder

This is where you describe the arrangement, energy, or genre direction for the song.

Music Style Prompt Rules

The music prompt must:

Not be empty
Be at least 10 characters long
Be no more than 2000 characters long

If you have selected style enhancements, Tunedance combines them with your prompt before generation.

Lyrics Requirement

Tunedance only generates music when the lyrics are long enough.

The current requirement is:

at least 100 characters of lyrics

If the lyrics are shorter than that, the workspace shows an error and does not continue.

What Happens During Generation

When you generate music, Tunedance:

Combines enhancements and your music prompt
Trims the final prompt if it exceeds the maximum length
Sends the lyrics and prompt to the music generation service
Downloads and stores the resulting audio in the desktop app
Creates a new track in the album
Returns you to the album track list

The new track is also queued for playback automatically.
