Generation Failures

Generation issues usually come from validation problems, network or service failures, or credit limits.

Tunedance generation failures placeholder

Lyrics Generation Fails

If lyric generation fails:

  • confirm the topic meets the minimum input requirements
  • check your connection
  • try the generation again

Tunedance already surfaces a Failed to generate lyrics error when the request does not succeed.

Music Generation Fails

For music generation, make sure:

  • lyrics are at least 100 characters long
  • the music prompt is valid
  • the app can still reach the generation service

If the generated audio cannot be saved or processed correctly, Tunedance stops the flow and shows a generation failure instead of adding a broken track.

Soundtrack Generation Fails

For soundtrack generation, Tunedance distinguishes between:

  • insufficient credits
  • general generation failures

If the failure is a non-credit error, the app opens a regenerate modal so you can retry the request with the same draft values.

If the failure is a credit problem, Tunedance shows the insufficient-credits modal instead.

Partial Failures

Sometimes a multi-sample soundtrack request partially succeeds.

In that case, Tunedance can still keep the successfully processed soundtrack results even if one or more requested samples fail.

Best Recovery Path

If generation keeps failing:

  1. Verify the input still matches the current form rules
  2. Retry once from the app
  3. Reduce complexity by simplifying the prompt or requesting fewer soundtrack samples
  4. Check whether the account still has the credits or plan access required for generation
