Negative Prompts

Use negative prompts when you know what you want to avoid in the generated soundtrack.

Enable Negative Prompting

The soundtrack form includes a Negative Prompt toggle.

When enabled, Tunedance opens an extra field where you can describe elements to exclude.

Examples include:

  • vocals
  • heavy drums
  • bass
  • overly bright synths

When To Use It

Negative prompting is useful when the main soundtrack direction is clear but you need tighter control over the result.

It can help reduce:

  • unwanted instruments
  • distracting textures
  • stylistic elements that do not fit the track

Field Limits

The negative prompt field supports up to 300 characters.

If the toggle is on but the field is empty, Tunedance simply omits the negative prompt from the final request.
