How Do AI Credits Work

AI credits are the currency for AI-powered features in Wayaframe. Every time you generate a script, voiceover, image, or video with AI, credits are deducted from your account balance. Standard editing features do not consume any credits.

What uses AI credits

Credits are consumed by AI-powered generation and processing features. The cost varies depending on the feature, the AI model used, and the length or complexity of the content.

Script generation

Generating a video script from a prompt uses credits based on the language model and script length. Script generation is one of the most affordable AI features, typically costing just a few credits per script.

Voiceover (text-to-speech)

Converting text to spoken audio uses credits based on the number of characters. All three providers (ElevenLabs, Murf, and Minimax) have similar per-character costs. A typical 60-second voiceover costs approximately 25 to 30 credits.

Image generation

Generating an image from a text prompt costs approximately 1 to 30 credits per image depending on the model, resolution, and quality setting. Some models like DALL-E and Midjourney cost more per image, while others like Minimax and Flux are more economical.

Video generation

Video generation is the most credit-intensive feature. Costs vary significantly by model, duration, and resolution:

Minimax (Hailuo): approximately 34 to 94 credits per 6-second clip depending on resolution and model version
Kling: approximately 74 to 336 credits per 5-second clip depending on model tier and whether audio is included
Sora (OpenAI): approximately 250 to 500 credits per 5-second clip
Veo (Google): approximately 334 to 1,200 credits per 5-second clip

Higher resolutions, longer durations, and premium model tiers cost more. The app shows the estimated cost before you generate.

Voice cloning

Cloning a voice from an audio sample is free. No credits are consumed for the cloning process itself. Credits are only used when you generate speech with a cloned voice (same rates as text-to-speech above).

Voice swapping and dubbing

Swapping the voice in an existing video or audio clip uses credits based on the duration and provider. A 60-second voice swap costs approximately 10 to 60 credits depending on the provider.

Translation

Translating text (subtitles, scripts) uses credits based on the number of characters. Approximately 1 credit per 120 characters, or about 4 credits per typical subtitle line.

Transcription (speech-to-text)

Transcribing audio to text uses credits based on the audio duration. Approximately 2 credits per minute of audio.

Prompt enhancement

Improving a generation prompt with the Prompt Enhancer uses credits based on the language model and number of variations. A typical enhancement costs approximately 4 to 10 credits.

AI Expand and Generative Fill

Extending an image beyond its original borders with AI Expand or filling empty crop areas with Generative Fill uses credits based on the output resolution. The estimated cost is shown before you confirm.

Music and soundtrack generation

Generating music or soundtracks costs approximately 50 credits per track. Generating multiple samples in one request multiplies the cost. See Tunedance music creation for more.

Credit estimates in the app

Before each AI generation, the app shows an estimated credit cost so you know what it will cost before confirming. You can enable or disable credit estimates from your profile preferences.

Do credits expire

Credits reset each billing period and do not roll over to the next period. Bonus credits do not reset and remain available until used.

Can I buy more credits

Yes. You can purchase additional credit packs from the billing page at any time. The credits are added to your account immediately.

How to check your credit balance

Your remaining credits are shown on the billing page under the usage summary.
