Chart Editing

Once a chart is on the timeline, Wayaframe routes it into a dedicated chart inspector.

the chart editing workflow

Style And Data Tabs

The current chart inspector is split into two main tabs:

  • Style
  • Data

This makes it easier to separate visual design changes from the underlying dataset.

Change Chart Type

Wayaframe lets you switch the chart subtype from inside the inspector.

The current chart editor includes a subtype picker with thumbnails for the available chart kinds, so you can change direction without rebuilding the chart from scratch.

Style Controls

The current chart styling workflow includes controls such as:

  • Chart title
  • Colors and palettes
  • Labels and values
  • Legends
  • Axes and grid settings
  • Typography

Chart-family-specific controls are also available depending on the selected chart type.

Examples include:

  • Corner radius, bar width, and sorting for bar charts
  • Smoothing, point display, and draw style for line charts
  • Fill style and point display for area charts
  • Segment gap, inner radius, and center label for pie and donut charts
  • Trend line, point names, and axis controls for scatter charts

Data Editing

Wayaframe also includes direct chart-data editing in the chart workflow.

The current editor supports:

  • Editing chart data in a table view
  • Exporting chart data
  • Normalizing data for the selected chart subtype
  • Expanding the data editor when you need more room

Chart Animation

Chart animation is part of the chart styling workflow rather than a separate chart-export step.

The current chart fields confirm controls for:

  • Duration
  • Stagger
  • Easing
  • Energy

This lets the chart itself feel animated and presentation-ready inside the editor.
