Screen Recording

Wayaframe's screen recorder is a desktop capture workflow built around a floating control bar, a region selector, and a separate recording settings window.

Start A Screen Recording

Open the recorder launcher and choose Screen.

From there, the current recorder lets you capture:

  • The full screen
  • A custom region
  • A specific window

The control bar also includes aspect-ratio presets such as horizontal, vertical, square, and classic layouts.

Choose The Capture Area

The current screen capture selector supports:

  • Fullscreen recording
  • Region recording with draggable resize handles
  • Window selection
  • Monitor selection when multiple displays are available

When you use region mode, Wayaframe shows a dedicated region overlay where you can move or resize the capture area before recording starts.

Configure Devices During Recording

The floating control bar keeps device controls available while you set up or record.

The current screen workflow supports:

  • Camera selection and mute
  • Microphone selection and level control
  • System audio selection and mute
  • Optional camera recording modes alongside screen capture

This makes it possible to build a screen recording with narration and optional camera presence from one control surface.

Recording Controls

The current recorder includes these main controls:

  • Record
  • Pause
  • Resume
  • Stop
  • Elapsed timer

The control bar also exposes quick entry points for Teleprompter and Settings while you prepare the capture.

Recording Settings

Wayaframe includes a separate recording settings window for recorder behavior and output quality.

The current settings surface includes:

  • Recording quality
  • Frame rate
  • Output format
  • Countdown before recording
  • Show cursor
  • Highlight clicks
  • Mouse click sound
  • Hotkey tips
  • Camera recording mode and camera shape
  • Echo cancellation
  • Noise suppression
  • Keyboard shortcuts for start or stop and pause or resume

On macOS, the settings window also shows permission status for screen recording, microphone, and camera access.

What Happens After Recording

When the recording stops, Wayaframe can import the output back into your media workflow.

If camera import is enabled, the recorder can keep the main capture and camera clip as separate imported assets.
