Audio Recording

Wayaframe includes a dedicated audio recorder for microphone-first capture with live level feedback and the same floating recorder controls used across the desktop recording workflow.

the audio recording workflow

Start An Audio Recording

Open the recorder launcher and choose Audio.

The audio recorder opens a simplified recording stage with:

  • A live waveform display
  • Microphone activity monitoring
  • System audio monitoring
  • The floating recording control bar

This mode is designed for spoken tracks, narration takes, and quick audio capture without recording the screen.

Monitor Levels While You Record

The current audio recorder visualizes the incoming signal while you work.

The recorder surface includes:

  • A combined waveform view
  • Live microphone level activity
  • Live system audio activity
  • Mute-state feedback for microphone and system audio

That makes it easier to catch silent inputs or clipping before you finish a take.

Control The Recording Session

The audio recorder uses the same session controls as the rest of the recording workflow.

The current controls include:

  • Record
  • Pause
  • Resume
  • Stop
  • Recording timer

If countdown is enabled in recording settings, the audio recorder also shows the same pre-record countdown before capture begins.

Device And Settings Support

From the control bar, the current audio workflow supports:

  • Microphone selection
  • System audio selection
  • Open recording settings
  • Open teleprompter

The recording settings window also affects audio capture, including echo cancellation, noise suppression, countdown behavior, and shortcut setup.

What Happens After Recording

When you stop an audio recording, Wayaframe can import the result directly as recorded media.

Recorded audio is treated as library media with a recording source, which keeps it available for later editing and reuse.
