Common Issues

When something goes wrong in Wayaframe, the first step is usually to identify which surface is failing: project load, sync, media import, recording, or export.

Project And Sync Issues

The current product exposes error states for issues such as:

  • Failed to load project
  • Sync failed
  • Cloud resync failed
  • Asset sync failed
  • Project sync failed

If you hit one of these states:

  • Confirm you are signed in to the correct account
  • Wait for any in-progress sync to finish before closing the app
  • Reopen the project and check whether the issue is temporary
  • If the project is shared, confirm you still have access to it

If the issue continues, use the bug-report flow and attach the affected project when possible.

Media Import Problems

Import issues are often caused by unsupported files or download problems.

The current product can reject content for reasons such as:

  • Unsupported file type
  • Unsupported file extension
  • Unsupported media type
  • URL imports that are not http or https

For media problems, check:

  • The file type and extension
  • Whether the file opens normally outside Wayaframe
  • Whether the source URL is a direct and reachable http or https address

If you are importing from a remote source, retry with a local file when possible to isolate whether the issue is format-related or download-related.

Export Problems

The current export flow can show states such as Export failed.

When an export fails:

  • Confirm the project is fully loaded before exporting
  • Retry the export after closing and reopening the project
  • Reduce the number of simultaneous heavy operations, especially on larger timelines
  • Check whether the problem happens on one project or across multiple projects

If only one project fails, attach that project file when reporting the issue.

Recording And Device Access Problems

If recording cannot start, or microphone access fails, the issue is often permission-related rather than a recording bug.

Performance Tips

For slower or unstable projects:

  • Close other heavy apps before working on large edits
  • Break unusually large edits into smaller passes when possible
  • Let background generation, sync, or export tasks finish before starting another heavy workflow
  • Report repeatable slowdowns through the feedback flow under the Performance or Crash & Stability category
