Smart Motion

Smart Motion adds a smooth pan and zoom animation to still image clips. It creates cinematic movement by gradually shifting and scaling the image from a starting position to an ending position over the clip's duration.

How it works

When you enable Smart Motion on an image clip, Wayaframe animates the image from a starting zoom and position to an ending zoom and position. The animation plays over the full length of the clip with a smooth easing curve, creating a natural panning and zooming effect without any manual keyframing.

This is ideal for turning static photos, illustrations, or AI-generated images into dynamic scenes.

Enabling Smart Motion

Select an image clip on the canvas or timeline, then enable Smart Motion from the Basic Properties panel in the Transform section.

Smart Motion is only available on image clips. It is automatically disabled if the clip has:

• 3D rotation, skew, or perspective applied.
• An existing transform animation.
• A blend mode other than Normal.

Interaction with other features

Smart Motion and 3D transforms cannot be used together. Enabling Smart Motion disables perspective controls, and enabling 3D rotation disables Smart Motion.
