Apply Transitions

Wayaframe includes a dedicated Transitions panel in the editor sidebar for finding and applying transition presets.

the apply transitions workflow

Transition Library

The current transition browser supports:

  • Search
  • Recently used transitions
  • Category browsing
  • Expanded category views
  • Click-to-apply and drag-to-apply workflows

The panel also includes an intro state that tells users to drag transitions between clips to apply them.

Transition Categories

The current transition library is grouped into categories such as:

  • Trending
  • Atmosphere
  • Classic
  • Hits
  • Overlay
  • Light
  • Movement
  • Blur
  • Basic
  • Slide
  • Mask
  • Glitch
  • Distortion

This gives you both subtle editorial transitions and much more stylized options.

Apply A Transition

Transitions are meant to sit between clips rather than on top of them like effects.

The current workflow supports:

  • Clicking a preset to apply it to the current selection
  • Dragging a preset into place between clips
  • Reusing recently used transitions more quickly

Use subtle transitions when the edit should feel invisible, and stronger transitions when the cut is meant to be felt.

Best Use Cases

Use transitions when:

  • You want smoother movement between shots
  • You need a more stylized scene change
  • You want to reinforce pacing or impact between clips
